Want to Vend with us?
Each season, we find more and more applications that are overflowing with talent. It’s awesome to see however because we are curated and have category limits, not everyone makes it into all of our markets.
Here are a few tips to help small businesses when considering a Shank Shoppe Maker’s Market:
- Stand Out – be original in your craft
We have a few catagories that we are flooded with vendors in. Be sure you are always taking the time to research your local market and to put your originality into your craft for you to stand out.
- Social Media – have a positive online presence
Keep your social media for your business encouraging and positive. Seeing business owners complain about a lack of sales is always a red flag for us. We should be seeing why we want your product; not that someone doesn’t.
- Intention – take the time to create a beautiful and inviting display & space to shop.
Do you have exposed empty boxes? Uncovered tables? Trash out on your tables? No thank you. Do you have a clean display? Prices clearly marked? A visually appealing set up? Yes mam!
- Community – support fellow creators, artists, and makers
You over hear a potential shopper say “I’m looking for tie dye.” Instead of thinking “oh I don’t make that” and ignoring them, engage with them and tell them your friend Ed has beautiful Tie Dye apparel at the end of the vendor line. Support those around you and they will do the same.
Here at The Shank Shoppe we continue to build a beautiful maker community and environment and we are so happy you can be a part of it with us.
