Megan Shank, Owner
Meet Megan Shank; the owner and drive behind The Shank Shoppe. She was dedicated to the dental corporate world for over a decade and absolutely loved her challenging and rewarding role as the Quality Control Manager for a corporate dental office. When she and her husband were faced with a long list of medical obstacles surrounding their daughter’s birth, it became more and more apparent over time that Megan needed to be home to juggle countless specialists appointments/therapies and care for their daughter. Pairing that with the recent pandemic, Megan quickly switched roles and became a stay at home mom and never looked back. Both of the Shank kiddos have special needs in various ways. Being a SAHM has been a huge privilege.
Her creative and artistic side really took a back seat once John and Megan began starting their family. The combination of becoming a SAHM and the official launch of The Shank Shoppe has allowed the her creativity to take on a new adventure and create custom one of kind pieces from apparel to ornaments to home decor and more. Organizing her own events and markets took a front seat when she found that existing local markets seemed focused on everything but the vendors. With her wide range of experience, she jumped in with two feet to show vendors it could be done differently. Events have always been a true passion as they celebrate so many talented people which is one of Megan’s truest joys.
Megan lives with her husband John and their two children in Lancaster County.
